I year old

A year ago I remember sitting in front of my laptop meditating on whether I should create a blog. I liked the idea of creating a platform for virtual discussion with my friends and people who could potentially become something other than simply a 'blog view.' I liked the interchange between an online diary and an outlet for creative anxieties. I am not sure what is revealed by your virtual persona or by the way you write and expose your thoughts. Probably too little. Possibly more than you would have intended. The first thing revealed about me I guess was my devotion to Sonic Youth (hence the title, wildflowersoul taken from a song title in their 1999 album A Thousand leaves). The second thing one may have guessed is my being an Uma Therman aficionada (when she does not play crappy roles) or even a Tarantino fan. So what? From little fragments, can you make out what constitutes someone's personality? Do you want to? What of someone is really infatuated by creating a persona that does not correspond to the real image of himself? But what is real anyway? Is it subjective or objective?

I started narrating the story of the blog and I ended up addressing all sorts of questions....Oh well, it' s reading week and I do not have who to address these questions to I guess...

I want to thank you all for reading, sharing, commenting, cursing, thanking, joking on this blog. I wish you continue accompanying me!

Happy Birthday to wildflowersoul. for many journeys, for many laughs, for many ideas, for many questions, for many exchanges, for honesty and lack of deception, for a virtual friend, for paving the way for us newer people in the blog-sphere..may many more creative moments come in the next year and I will be definitely accompanying you (in the cyberspace but also in the actual world).
now as for objectivity..we all now that it doesnot really exist-that's why people like us end up with terrible permanent head damages ;)

Happy birthday to wildflower soul.I think that your site is really inspiring and I have never felt that you are trying to pretend or create a persona.I think that this can not happen when someone is having a blog that her/his friends also read. You have thought a very serious question though that I think sometimes myself. However, creating a persona is about people that create a blog with other motives than expression like making friends or meeting someone. Those blogs are easily detected though!Keep inspiring!

Thank you pixie! You are right, the blogs I read as well seem really sincere to me. I believe that you can get an insight of the personality of someone. Even if one does not want to reveal certain things aboutone's identity alot are revealed through a piece of writing or by the aesthetics of a blog.

Your blog is inspiring as well, keep up the good work ;)
