Survivors from a plane crash on an island somewhere in the Pacific Ocean. But where are they?What is going on? What is the significance of the numbers?Do they really bring bad luck?What is a polar bear doing in the middle of the jungle? Who is 'we' and who are the 'others'? What is the hatch with a computer doing in the middle of the jungle? Why are children in a greater danger? What kind of experiment is that?? If X-Files was the addiction of the mid-nineties that gave more questions than answers here is the addiction of the mid-zeroes!You will LOSE it! (I know I get obsessed but I can't help it!)

Έρχεται και στην Ελλάδα λέει;
υγ. Πειράζει που γράφω στα ελληνικά;;
Well..i am sure you would bet that i would be one of the first to respond to this topic.
I LOVE LOST! ABSOLUTELY AWESOME (and i am not only referring to josh holloway!:P)
I am not yet sure about the clues that it gives or does not give but 'the unknown' is so tempting.Religion,Faith,Fate,otherness,past and present get mixed up in one of the most challenging and clever series I've seen. Τhe binary between 'us' and 'the others' sounds so familiar.
Thanks for starting this discussion! (and can we keep josh's photo forever??)xx
You are absolutely right, it is really well-made and witty. And it tackles issues pertinent to enlightment(return to nature and survival on a one-to-one basis)and globalisation/postcolonialism/postmodernism...!!!!And of course there is Josh as well, oops Sawyer I meant!;)
sure beats the hell out of watching desperate housewives. funny how the Twilight Zone/Outer Limits/The Prisoner aesthetics are now in style again. It's the supermodel element that kinda creeps me out but maybe there's some sort of an explanation for that too (genetics, island being a humongous babe magnet wtf.)
Well not everybody is a supermodel (see Hurley!) But, yes, for the main save-the-world-characters it is true(aesthetically satisfying but not ideologically).However, I am still a Josh Holloway fan :)
I am returning to this post because I have to say it: I am starting getting afraid that Lost might disappoint us..unless,I am reading too much into it.
Having watched 15! episodes of the 2nd season I sort of get an idea about what it might be about and I will be really disappointed if all is about the 'delegitimation of science as a narrative'. (it sounds cool,i know, but if this is the case,we have seen this before..)
i guess that we will be returning to this in the next weeks/months-I just hope I am wrong!:S
