A Japanese one, a black one, a French one and a brunette, me. We all had special skills. Sommerset had a photographic memory, the Japanese fox was a kung-fu master, the black one was a demolition expert, the French fox's specialty was sex...

Tarantino plays with the notion of time and structure, breaking conventional linear patterns abusing the society of the spectacle and mass culture to the fullest. He has become a 'cult' by his mannerims and promoting a 'pastiche' of things from different cultural backgrounds without being kitsch, but in a very clever way.
