Stand behind his drunken amp
Stand behind his light of love
Hear him yowl his bloody tounge
Hear him yell 4 blood and war
Do you believe in his sweet sensation
Do you believe in second chance
Do you believe in rapture babe
A terrible hit strikes today
A terrible hit for the parade
Burnin' eyes seek jesus comin
Jesus comes to pave the way
Can you tell me what to feel
Open up your tender soul
Can I drink your drunken mercy
Wine burns the devils hole
Stand behind his light of love
Hear him yowl his bloody tounge
Hear him yell 4 blood and war
Do you believe in his sweet sensation
Do you believe in second chance
Do you believe in rapture babe
A terrible hit strikes today
A terrible hit for the parade
Burnin' eyes seek jesus comin
Jesus comes to pave the way
Can you tell me what to feel
Open up your tender soul
Can I drink your drunken mercy
Wine burns the devils hole

thanks for this, Mia. i actually caught them a number of times on the lower east side before they hit it big(ger).
You are welcome! They have always been one of my top bands (and inspired my blog title). I saw them in 2000 on their "Thousand Leaves" tour but you are even luckier...!
I also like the various Kim Gordon projects; she is a 'trouble girl'! :)
ahhhhh...Kim Gordon, the 'trouble girl'. i call them 'grrls' actually, and can totally relate. :-)

lol, it's alllll relative. i'd trade some of my 'luckier' w/younger any day, but lately, it's all good in the hood. :-)
I will listen to it and tell you my impressions sweety!
@ rimone: I am glad to hear it! :)
@ pixie: Fantastic! please do! :)
Just because I have dark midnight (mavra mesanixta- to put it in Greek;)) with music I am not going to comment on the band but I must say that I like the lyrics of this song.
And I do believe that a rapture can change into a rupture..and it sucks when it happens, but look around you-you will see it happening.
Still you got the gist of what I was trying to convey; very perceptive as always ;)
